To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the state Freedom of Information Act, G.L.M. c.4, €7, clause 26th, I hereby request the following records:

Please provide, in accessible digital format (scanned documents are not accessible), the complete and current Housing Waiting lists by program (including all Project-based, Federally-subsidized and State-subsidized programs managed by the Somerville Housing Authority), omitting personal identifying names and identification numbers, but containing all other details. For example, instead of names, please assign a number, letter or code to each applicant so that we may see the following details:
1. date/time of application;
2. how applicant is sorted by preference;
3. total household income;
4. whether applicant requires an accessible or adaptable unit;
5. whether applicant requires housing for families; or age-restricted; or supportive housing; or assistive living housing; or other type of congregate housing.
5. Size and type of unit applied for.

We also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents may be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, or processed by a representative of the news media/press for the purposes of information gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, we would be grateful if you would inform us of the total charges in advance of fulfilling this request. We would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not. In any case, the response must be in accessible format, so that people who use screen-readers will be able to read it.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. We look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Community Access Project
