Good Morning
The request for Open Acts Records need to be directed to the Justice of the Peace who ordered the autopsy. Since the county ordered the autopsy, the request has to go through Anderson County; Carl Davis, Justice of the Peace, Pct. 2. He can be reached at 903-723-7486.
Thanks

Thank you for your immediate response LaRhona Osborn,

I have requested autopsy's in the past directly from the Medical Examiner directly without any issue. Pursuant to the Texas Public Information all Examination Reports (with the exception of X-Rays and photographs) are subject to required public disclosure in accordance with Chapter 552, Texas Government Code. I went ahead and sent a request to JP Carl Davis however I do not believe his authorization is necessary.

HI,
We are not a Medical Examiners Office. Medical Examiners Offices are governed by the State. We are employed by the counties and operate as a Coroners Office, which means, if you want an autopsy report, you will have to request it from the County/Judge that ordered the autopsy since the county is the one actually paying for the autopsy, not the state or government.
I do apologize for the inconvenience and that you are not familiar with the Coroner's system and dealing with counties instead of the bigger cities, but you will have to request the report from the Judge in this case.
Thanks
LaRhonda Osborn
