Mr. Lipton,

Your request has been forwarded to me. I wanted to clarify a few things you listed on your request. You are just looking for statistics, data, reports, policies and procedures as it relates to SAEC kits? You are not looking for the actual reports correct? UCR data? I have some operational procedure documents and a list of incidents and the disposition of each case since 2009. I also have our Evidence Custodian looking into the other data that you requested.

Our current database started in 2009 so anything occurring before this date is in CRIMES and LEMIS. Sometimes data from those old systems will not print and/or the data you would be looking for is not available because the technology was not where it is today.

Our Evidence Custodian has found 99 so far in the old system going back to 2002 (I believe that is what he said). Since 2009 there have been approximately 123 kits submitted. 7 have not been processed due to the timeframe (occurring in 2016 and 2017) and 63 have been disposed of.

Someone would have to pull the hardcopy of each case and look to see the disposition of the SAEC. This could take quite few weeks to complete. I am not sure what your timeframe is, I know you requested it in 10 days. I can send the statistics of sexual assault cases from 2009 to present and the Operational Procedures if you would like.

Let me know if this is what you are looking for and we will proceed.

Thank you
