Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, ยง10, I hereby request the following records:
All controlled substance seizure reports from January 1, 2006 to the date that this request is processed.
The documents I am requesting are referenced here (http://www.sec.state.ma.us/arc/arcpdf/MA_Municipal_Records_Retention_Manual.pdf) under the heading "Police Department" item 16.014.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

I have received your public information request for all controlled
substance seizure reports from January 1, 2006 up to the present date.
The Chief is away this week and will not be back until Monday, 19 AUG
and I need to speak to him regarding your request because fulfilling
your request is going to involve many man-hours at a substantial cost.
As soon as I can discuss this matter with him and we can determine the
amount of hours it will most likely take to complete this task as well
as the cost associated I will contact you with that information and you
can make the determination if you would like to go forward with the
request or not. In the meantime should have any other requests or

substance seizure reports and we are requesting some clarification. If
you can be more specific in regards to your request it would help
facilitate our ability to fulfill your request. The more specific that
you can be regarding what exactly you are trying to obtain this will
allow us to not only better meet your request but will enable us to be
able to provide you with an accurate estimate of the cost.
