To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all nondisclosure agreements and/or contracts signed between the City of Seattle and any outside agency, contractor, vendor and/or supplier of services.

TO BE CLEAR: this is NOT a request for a search of investigative materials, but for administrative records maintained by the City of Seattle.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Bernard Rodriguez

Hi Bernard -

Thanks for your request. I need a little clarification on your public records request of the Department of Information Technology. Please be very specific in what you are asking for and provide a date range in which to search records within the Department of Information Technology. To be clear, are you asking for all contacts with third party vendors (date range?) for services within the Department of Information Technology? After clarification of your public disclosure request, we will proceed with next steps.

Thanks for your attention.

From: Brown, LaTonya C

Hi Bernard –

I understand several city departments have received your public disclosure request dated 12/18/15 for “A copy of all nondisclosure agreements and/or contracts signed between the City of Seattle and any outside agency, contractor, vendor and/or supplier of services.”
I am working with appropriate folks on what might be involved in fulfilling your request and will have a status update available in mid-January.

Thank you for your patience.

Happy Holidays!

From: Bernard Rodriguez

Hi Megan,

I'm using an automated service to file this request and apologize for any inconvenience or confusion that may have created.

In a 12-08-2015 email from LaTonya C Brown the question was asked: "To be clear, are you asking for all contacts with third party vendors (date range?) for services within the Department of Information Technology? After clarification of your public disclosure request, we will proceed with next steps."

This is interpretation is correct. Please provide documents from Jan 2013 through Jan 2016.

Thank you again for you help, and please feel free to contact me w/ any question.

Hello-
As per the previous communications, the request 16-0145 was forwarded to your office - could you please confirm? Thank you.

From: Bernard Rodriguez

Hi,

I wanted to thank you for your attention to this request and apologize for the delays. I'm using an automated service, that has likely inundated you with emails. Sorry about that.

To clarify, my request is for non-disclosure agreements and non-disclosure contracts.

Please limit the search to all current and expired contracts maintained in your posession covering the years 2013 through 2016.

An example contract of an NDA contract the city is engaged in with Uber/Raiser can be viewed here:

Thank you for your continued cooperation, and patience with this request.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Dear Mr. Rodriguez,

This email is to ask if you could please take action on the following:

The City of Seattle continues to receive automated follow-up emails to this request 22901-12636345 and 22900-98568307, both appear to be identical requests.

These requests were received in December 2015. In response to the email below, I conducted a search and our records indicate that records were provided and the requests were closed.

Please close both these requests to ensure that automated messages are no longer sent. It would be greatly appreciated. We will not respond to automated follow-up emails on these requests in the future.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Kimberly
