To Whom It May Concern:

In a Seattle Times article, "Mayor’s medical-pot plan: License the ‘good actors,’ crack down on violators," by Evan Bush, published May 26, 2015 (<http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/marijuana/mayors-pot-plan-license-the-good-actors-crack-down-on-violators/>), it was reported that Seattle Mayor Ed Murray proposed legislation that "would create a new business license specific to the marijuana industry and create priorities for enforcement against medical-marijuana businesses." David Mendoza, the mayor's policy adviser on marijuana, reportedly stated that in preparing for enforcement, the city has taken steps to catalog medical-marijuana businesses and complaints or code violations against them.

Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:

City of Seattle's catalog of medical marijuana business and complaints or code violations against them, along with associated metadata.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Phil Mocek
