Dear Nikky Southerland,
This message is in response to your public disclosure request C064541-092420. Thank you for your March 31,2021 clarification regarding the subject matter of your request: “all documents (as outlined in the original request) that are related to Cal Anderson Park closures.” Please note that we did not receive your response through our public disclosure request management system. We recently noticed the response on the Muckrock website, although going to the site is not a part of our standard operations. Since it appears that Muckrock is not forwarding responses to us, we would encourage you to use the GovQA portal to ensure that our future communication is successful, as we cannot guarantee that future communications through the Muckrock portal will be received on our side.
Now that we understand the focus of your request, we have determined that the records previously searched for the upcoming installment would not be responsive. We will refocus our search in accordance with your clarification. Please be aware that it is likely that the Operations Business Unit of the Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), the recipient of your request C064541-092420, may have very few or no responsive records. We believe that the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department would be the most likely department to have records responsive to your request. We would ordinarily consider opening a request for the other department as a courtesy, but here because of the nature of Muckrock and how it interacts with our system, we are unable to. We are sorry for the inconvenience. To ensure accuracy in our communications, we encourage you to submit a request to Parks or any other department via the City’s Public Records Request Center
Finally, due to the refocusing of our search on Cal Anderson Park closures, and in combination with the specifications outlined in the original request, we will need additional time to respond to your request. At this time, the Operations Business Unit of FAS anticipates that it will be able to provide the requested records on or about July 16, 2021.
Best regards,
Zuzka
