COURTESY NOTICE:
Your last APRA request was received on April 3. 2014, and answered on
4/18/14. Although the following information does not apply to your
5/7/14 APRA request, as a courtesy for the future I bring to your
attention that if you are going to be making on-going requests, the APRA
allows requests made by the same requestor within a 30-day period to be
treated as a single request and as such, for retrieval / processing fees
to be on-going. As an "on-going" single request, it means that only the
first hour is free and each subsequent request within the (30) days can
be charged $15.00/hr immediately upon receipt of said request.
Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Sincerely,

Hello,
Apologies for the delay. Other departments have provided these documents for free or for as little as $3. Can you confirm that the three hours of review are necessary for something as routine as a dispatch log?
Thank you!
From: Scituate Police Department
Mr. Musgrave,
I consult routinely with our Town Solicitor on APRA matters. Our
estimate was the result of an objective and thorough evaluation of your
request.
Thank you for your understanding. Please advise as to how you would
like to proceed.

Chief,
Thank you for clarifying the method for your estimate. I respectfully request that you return any unused portion of the fee, as I do not foresee the need to review these documents for three hours.
I will send a check by mail tomorrow.
Thank you,
Shawn
