Pursuant to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, I hereby request the following records:
Related to district HVAC systems for the last five years:
Maintenance records
inspection reports
air quality tests
capital improvement reports for all district schools
As background, this request is filed as part of a journalism project looking at HVAC systems across schools in the United States, and similar requests are being filed in additional school districts.
If you have summary reports or other documents that are likely to include largely similar information and are easier to provide, I’m willing to accept those as a substitute.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear Muckrock News,
I have received your data request as faxed on February 25, 2022 The
information you have requested is not readily available without data
manipulation or manual data entry and/or copies. Therefore the district
will need to charge you for our cost in compiling the data requested as
allowed in MINN Stat 13.03. Our cost to provide the information as
requested in the format requested will be $2,000.00. We are requesting
prepayment before providing the information.
Please make payment payable to Sauk Centre Public School and send to my
attention at the address below. Include the data requested with payment.
Once payment is received the district will begin to compile the data as
requested.
