From: Samuel Sinyangwe

Hi Dominique,

Specifically, I need the following information:
-the total number of uses of taser or other electronic control weapons from 2013-2017 (separated by year)
-the total number of uses of baton or other impact weapons and projectiles from 2013-2017 (separated by year)
-the total number of uses of OC Spray or other chemical weapons from 2013-2017 (separated by year)
-the total number of uses of a carotid restraint from 2013-2017 (separated by year)

Note that this request does not involve/is not impacted by SB 1421, which is focused on information within police personnel files related to deadly force incidents and civilian complaints. I am not requesting any identifying information about the officers involved or any other info that would be in the personnel file. I am merely requesting aggregate statistics on the total number of uses of force separated by year and type of force used.

Thanks,

Sam
