Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1. Please provide data and statistics that are tracked and reported as part of the SRO anti-vaping grant.
2. How many police and school resource officers (SROs) are assigned to each school in Marin county?
3. Please provide the total amount ($) of expenditures on police and SROs in each Marin County school district. Please provide the source of the funding for these efforts and the funding timelines.
4. What are the County's supervisory and oversight responsibilities related to police in Marin County schools?
5. Who oversees school police and SROs and what is the public process for filing complaints against school police? Have any public complaints been filed in the past 5 years? If so, please provide those complaints.
6. Have any complaints against school police or SROs been investigated? If so, please provide the outcome and records for those investigations.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
