Good morning,

Unfortunately, San Juan County Jail does not control the program;
therefore, we are unable to provide any policies or procedures or other
documents pertaining to the indexing for FamilySearch, otherwise known as
Intellectual Reserce, Inc. We have allowed our inmates to assist in the
testing of the new portions of the program. We would be able to provide
indexing numbers from our facility.

Please feel free to contact our office if you have any further questions.

Have a great day!

Sgt. Marcia Shumway,
Thanks for the information. If I understand you correctly, there is indexing by inmates for FamilySearch at the San Juan County Jail, but it is only in the testing phase. Is that correct? If you could provide indexing numbers from the facility, that would be great.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Burkely Hermann

Sgt. Marcia Shumway,
Thanks for your reply on March 24, 2022. In that email you wrote that San Juan County Jail has allowed your inmates to "assist in the testing of the new portions of the program." Is that testing phase complete? You also said that San Juan County Jail does not control the program. Who does control the program, then? Additionally, you offered to provide indexing numbers from your facility and if you could share that information, that would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Burkely Hermann
