Hello Mr. Cantú,

I want to provide you with an update on your request.

There are numerous responsive records that require review. Government Code 6253(c) of the California Public Records Act allows a 10-day limit for responding to requests for public records. It also permits the extension of that deadline by an additional 14 days in the case of unusual circumstances including "the need to search for, collect, and appropriately examine a voluminous amount of separate and distinct records that are demanded in a single request". Your request appears to fit that circumstance and thus we will require the additional time to respond. The anticipated response date is no later than February 22, 2016.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Hello Mr. Cantú,

In response to your request, please find the attached remaining document titled Attachment C_Budget proposal_Redacted.

The attached document includes redactions based upon the following exemptions:

* The records contain law enforcement material related to methods of enforcing criminal laws, and the effect of disclosure would enable law violators to avoid detection by law enforcement, pursuant to California Government Code 6255.

* The records you seek are considered police investigation records and intelligence records, which are exempt from public disclosure under California Government Code 6254(f).

This completes your public records request.

Thank you.
