To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:
The city of San Jose receives requests for building permits. The city allows this information to be searched via https://data.sanjoseca.gov/datasets/168386/planning-permits/ but I would like the spreadsheet form of these records for the years 2000-2017. The information available online contains only the last 60-180 days.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
The City has received your request for records copied below. It has been forwarded for research.
The Open Government Manager
The Building Department has provided the below information in response to your inquiry (copied below).
The customer states Building permits in his request, but the link he has provided is for Planning permits. If the customer is looking for Building permits history, all permits reports are available to the public online at https://sjpermits.org/permits/general/reportdata.asp.
