Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1. All documents, including but not limited to writings, e-mails, text messages, writings and memoranda, whether in physical or electronic format relating to or describing the following:
a. The number of San Francisco Police Department ("SFPD") employees kept or placed on duty to date to support Mayor London Breed's Union Square efforts cited here: https://www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/These-three-garages-near-S-F-s-Union-Square-16650207.php;
b. The additional number of San Francisco Police Department ("SFPD") employees kept or placed on duty over and above previously set staffing requirements because of Mayor London Breed's Union Square efforts.
c. The average salaries of officers or employees referenced in 1(a);
d. The average salaries of officers or employees referenced in 1(b);
e. The number of the employees referenced in 1(a) and 1(b) who are sworn peace officers;
f. The additional wage and benefit cost imposed on the City to date attributable to the Union Square efforts;
g. The cost of the Mobile Command Center and any other non-employee costs associated with the Union Square efforts;
h. The cost of 1(g) over and above previously set non-staffing costs because of Mayor London Breed's Union Square efforts.
i. The number of individuals from other local (i.e. non-federal, non-state) jurisdictions called in to assist the SFPD with the Union Square efforts;
j. The amount of money paid or obligation incurred by the City to defray the salary, wage and other costs of the individuals referenced in (1)(i) above during the period of time they were assisting the SFPD with enforcement of the Union Square efforts;
k. The number of individuals employed by the State of California called in to assist the SFPD and/or the City with enforcement of the Union Square efforts;
l. The number of individuals referred to in (1)(k) who are sworn peace officers;
m. The amount of money paid or obligation incurred by the City to defray the salary, wage and other costs of the individuals referenced in (1)(l) and (1)(l) above
n. the identity of all agencies, local state, or federal, who provided assistance and support to SFPD with the Union Square efforts;
o. A description of the nature of that assistance for all entities referenced in 1(n)
2. All text or chat messages sent to or from Chief Scott regarding the Union Square efforts including a search of personal cellphones, laptops, and other devices.
Please provide all responses in a searchable format and release them on a rolling basis.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
