To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:

The "enCampment" data system maintained by GSA-Public Works, described in SF OpenData records as "Tracking homeless encampment location and timeframes." Specifically, a record layout for the database and a data dictionary for any codes used in the database.

I understand you have filled this request in the past – notably through MuckRock for Parker Higgins in August of 2016. I am requesting an up-to-date version of this information.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents may be made available to the general public free of charge and are not for commercial usage.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Peter Arcuni

Dear Mr. Arcuni:

We assigned your request as Public Records Request #16-565.

We completed our research, found the record that you seek, and are making that record available to you. That record is the current list of “encampments” that Public Works has. It is attached for you. This list responds to your request for an up-to-date version of the encampment data maintained by Public Works, as described in SF OpenData.

This concludes your Public Records Request.
