Hello,

There was San Francisco PD action during the Compton's Cafeteria riots in August 1966. (https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2015/05/05/404459634/ladies-in-the-streets-before-stonewall-transgender-uprising-changed-lives). Is there a chance that these records may have been sent to the City Archives or to another department?

Thanks,
Mackenzie Farkus

The Investigations Bureau checked their files and found no records.  The event to which you've inquired occurred in 1966.  Records dating back this far would have been purged/destroyed.

Thank you for your attention.
