From: Reizen, Julianne

Mr. Maass,

I am a designated custodian of records for the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, responsible for compliance with the California Public Records Act (CPRA). I am in receipt of your CPRA request, emailed on February 5, 2016, which seeks "[a]ll officer-involved-shooting review letters referenced on http://www.sdcda.org/office/officer-involved-shootings.html." The referenced link connects to this Office's public webpage, which contains a list of named individuals who were subjects of officer-involved shootings that occurred within San Diego County.

The requested records have been compiled on a CD and are available. The CD can be placed at the front desk on the eighth floor of the Hall of Justice, located at 330 West Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101, to be picked up at a time convenient to you, or alternatively can be mailed to you. Please notify me whether you wish to pick up the available CD or have it mailed to you.

Of note, the list of individuals posted on this Office's website and referenced in your February 5 email included the names of seven individuals who were not part of an officer or deputy-involved shooting or this Office's subsequent investigation and review of such a shooting. Richard Carlos Anguiano, Edward Francis Perry, Nathan Paul Sanderson, Terry Sayachak, Angel de Jesus Rodriguez, Ramel Lemeul Henderson, and Darryl Lamark Johnson are individuals who died while in custody, and this Office conducted a review of each of these in-custody deaths in accordance with office policy. Because the deaths of these seven individuals are not related to an officer or deputy-involved shooting, letters related to these individuals have not been produced.

Sincerely,

Julie Reizen
Deputy District Attorney
