From: Jonathan Kaplan (City Attorney)

Dear Mr. Guichet,

The City of San Antonio has received your Public Information Act request.

We are in the process of compiling a cost estimate. The City cannot waive the charges for this request, and based on the scope of your request, the charges are likely to be considerable. In addition, the City will probably seek to protect almost all of the requested material from disclosure based on the various security and privacy exceptions under the Texas Public Information Act, and other applicable laws.

I would like to discuss ways to amend your request to limit the scope of what you asked for to both bring down the cost and to avoid delay because the City, in order to protect confidential information, will seek an Attorney General ruling on the majority of the requested information.

Please contact me at jonathan.kaplan@sanantonio.gov or by phone at 210-207-2198.

Thank you.
