(SLCPD) has been received and reviewed. SLCPD responds as follows:

RESPONSE: SLCPD does not maintain contracts with
vendors. The Salt Lake City Purchasing Department oversees all
contracts that Salt Lake City entities are involved in. I have
forwarded this portion of your request to Purchasing. You may contact
that agency at 801-535-7661.

2. Any final reports generated by SLCPD and delivered to Palantir
Technologies over the past 5 years.

RESPONSE: SLCPD does not have any documents responsive
to your request.

If you are dissatisfied with Salt Lake City's response to your
request, you may appeal to the City's Chief Administrative Officer by
filing a written notice with the City Recorder within 30 calendar days
after the date of this letter, pursuant to Utah Code Ann. Sec
63G-2-401. The notice of appeal must state your name, mailing address
and daytime telephone number and the relief you seek. The City

Salt Lake City Police Departmenthas been using a contract that was
cooperatively solicited and awarded by theState of Utah. The Utah
contract number is PD2113 with Palantir USG Inc. and isavailable for
use by various government agencies within the state. Therequested
contract may be viewed directly at the State of Utah
PurchasingDivision website at http://purchasing.utah.gov(click on
“State Cooperative Contracts” and search for either Palantir
orPD2113.) As the requested records are readily available for viewing
via theInternet pursuant to the directions given, in accordance with
Utah Code63G-2-201(8)(a)(v) Salt Lake City is not required to provide
the records directly.As the State of Utah is the agency that awarded
this contract, I’d advise youto contact the State directly if you
desire additional information about thiscontract.

It is my understanding that thePolice Department has already responded
to Item 2 of your request.

Pursuant to Utah Code, §63G-2-401:If a Request for Records is denied
by the governmental entity, any person thatis dissatisfied with Salt
Lake City’s response to the request may appeal thatdecision to the
City’s Chief Administrative Officer by filing a Notice ofAppeal within
30 calendar days after the date of this letter to the CityRecorder at
the mailing address listed below. The notice of appeal muststate the
petitioner’s name, mailing address, daytime telephone number, nature
anddate of the request (attach if applicable) and relief sought.
Apetitioner may file a short statement of facts, reasons, and legal
authority insupport of the appeal. If the appeal is denied by Salt
Lake City, therequester has the right to appeal the denial either to
the State RecordsCommittee or District Court.
