Hello,

Per the request submitted on December 12 (see below), this FOIL seeks "A copy of the current list by subject matter, of all records in the possession of the agency," in this case the Office of the Mayor.

That is, this FOIL seeks the document maintained by the Office of the Mayor to fulfill the requirement of NEW YORK PUBLIC OFFICERS LAW, ARTICLE 6, Section 87(3), which requires each agency to maintain "a reasonably detailed current list by subject matter, of all records in the possession of the agency, whether or not available under this article." The same section likewise requires each agency to "update its subject matter list annually, and the date of the most recent update shall be conspicuously indicated on the list."

Please advise whether any further clarification is required.

Thank you.

From: MuckRock

Thank you. Please also confirm whether your office will likewise be providing a single response for the Mayor's Office and the police department in response to each of the other two requests — i.e., for each agency's subject matter listing and FOIL rules/regulations.

Thank you for this clarification.
