Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
* Annual teacher retention data for the 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019 school years, and the anticipated return rate for fall 2019 based on signed contracts.
* Annual principal retention data for the 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019 school years, and the anticipated return rate for fall 2019 based on signed contracts.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello Ms. Wilson,
Thank you for the materials on teacher retention in RPS. What you have sent is very helpful, but does not fulfill the specifics of the FOIA request filed on 7/1/2019. I requested teacher retention data for the 2016-2017, 2017-2018, and 2018-2019 school years. This material only includes teacher retention data from 2012 - 2016. I would like to re-affirm my request for the years following through 2019.
