To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act ("APRA"), I hereby request the following records:
A spreadsheet, database or other summary of all employees who received payout upon leaving the agency in 2013, as well as what those payouts were.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

The Division of Lotteries is in receipt of the attached correspondence received via fax earlier today. A prior fax received from you on June 9, 2014 was addressed to the Department of Revenue Office of Revenue Analysis. (That request is attached hereto.) The response sent to that request on June 9, 2014 is also attached hereto.
In response to your request of today (Copy attached), I am attaching a spread sheet showing the information requested.

There were two separate responses to your requests - one for the Lottery and one for the Department of Revenue Office of Revenue Analysis. The Lottery maintains the information you requested for the Lottery. The information for the other divisions within the Department of Revenue is not maintained by the Department of Revenue. That is why the response to the request addressed to the Department of Revenue Office of Revenue Analysis suggested that you contact Marc Leonetti, the Controller for the State of Rhode Island at the address provided.
