Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act ("APRA"), I hereby request the following records:
A spreadsheet, database or other summary of all employees who received payout upon leaving the agency in 2013, as well as what those payouts were.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello,
Via email yesterday, you provided documents responsive to my similar APRA request to the Lottery Commission. For the sake of clarity, please confirm whether the Lottery Commission maintains documents regarding payouts while the Department of Revenue does not, or if the documents you provided were for all Department of Revenue employees that received payouts in 2013, including Lottery Commission employees. If the latter, please confirm why the Department of Revenue did not include this information in response to my separate request to the Department of Revenue overall.

There were two separate responses to your requests - one for the Lottery and one for the Department of Revenue Office of Revenue Analysis. The Lottery maintains the information you requested for the Lottery. The information for the other divisions within the Department of Revenue is not maintained by the Department of Revenue. That is why the response to the request addressed to the Department of Revenue Office of Revenue Analysis suggested that you contact Marc Leonetti, the Controller for the State of Rhode Island at the address provided.
