To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1. A list or dataset of all of the driving under the influence of marijuana arrests in Washoe County that were taken to trial from January 1, 2014 until January 1, 2019 and the resulting outcome of the trial.
2. A list or dataset for all of the driving under the influence of alcohol charges in Washoe County that were taken to trial from January 1, 2014 until January 1, 2019 and the resulting outcome of the trial.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Good Afternoon,
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office received your public request dated November 9, 2019. In regards to your request please see below:
1. The Nevada Revised Statute for DUI includes both Alcohol and/or Drugs in the statute, therefore any arrest made using this statue does not allow us to be able to track alcohol or drugs separately. There is also no way that we can separate what type of drugs are involved. For information on cases that went to trial you would need to contact the District Attorney's office, and the City Attorney's office. Information concerning the disposition of a case must be obtained from the appropriate court. Any information that we would have would just be about the Washoe County Sheriff's Office arrests only, each respective agency keeps their own records.
