Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

How many students, who are residents of the Town of Portsmouth, have been transferred out of district for educational purposes?

Please provide details on each student transferred out of district, absent any identifiable information, to include: (1) the date in which the student was transferred, (2) the school the student was transferred to, (3) the reason for the transfer, and (4) the costs associated with each transfer.

How many students, who attend the Portsmouth Schools, are not residents of the Town of Portsmouth?

Please provide details on each student, who is not a resident, and who attends the Portsmouth Schools, absent any identifiable information, to include: (1) the date in which the student entered the Portsmouth Schools, (2) the school the student transferred from, (3) the reason for the transfer, and (4) the costs associated with each transfer.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.
