Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

Please supply the written policy of classification and housing of inmates in the Polk County Jail.

A copy of document production from another Florida County is attached hereto as an example.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Here in the PCSO Public Information Office, we have no record of a previous request with this control number (related to inmate classification). The crime rate in the Polk County Sheriff's Office primary law enforcement response area is at
an historic low, down 7.9% in 2019. Since 1997, the crime rate in Polk County has fallen by 79%.
In 2019, the Polk/PCSO crime rate was 48.5% less than the overall crime rate in the state of Florida.
