Thank you.

Ms. Lipton,

Your request is too vague and overbroad and fails to identify a specific, existing record. Information about litigation and our Police Department, resides in numerous records formats and in multiple departments. Even if we guessed as to which litigation records were responsive to your request, it is an unreasonable burden to search for and redact records.

Hello Christopher,

Thank you so much for your time today. As I mentioned, I'm interested in getting data on the financial costs of various claims and complaints against the department, including those related to civilian distress, vehicular collisions, and other liabilities. I've attached a couple of examples of the kinds of information I've received from other agencies. I'd be happy to talk more about this request, if that would be a help.

Thanks, again, for your time and assistance. I really appreciate it.

Best wishes,
Beryl
