Dear Ms. Byrne,

The Philadelphia Police Department ("PPD") is continuing to process the attached request, but it requires additional time to do so. The City as a whole, and PPD in particular, has been experiencing a higher-than-normal volume of requests and appellate matters which have stretched thin our resources. A final response to your request is currently due on Thursday. Would you please grant the City a 3-week extension (until Thursday, June 4th) to complete this request?

Respectfully,

Jeffrey Cohen

That's not exactly true given that a PPD officer used his official Twitter account to follow me the day after Jerame Reid was killed and I was tweeting about organizing. This happened at the same time a Vineland police officer followed me on Twitter. Needless to say, it was unnerving to have those kind of interactions with law enforcement.
I will consider my options for appeal and also refile more narrow request.
