To Whom It May Concern,

I have concerns over this denial, and would first like to try and arrive at a solution with you before I file an appeal. I do not feel like anything I asked was overly broad. Including the email request, because a keyword search for "May Day" can easily be done on Chicago PD servers. If need be I can give you a date range (1/1/16 to the date this request is processed) and some email inboxes I would like searched if you really feel a server keyword search is too much. However, your contention that "situational awareness reports, field analysis reports, etc." are overly broad I take issue with, especially in light of how often I receive records under those exact names from tens of law enforcement agencies around the country. These are very specific types of documents I am requesting, and I would very much like to come to an understanding on this rather than file an appeal. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Curtis Waltman
