Greetings,
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I request the following records, as pertain to the SMART passenger rail system:
1. The current conductor certification/qualification plan submitted to and approved by FRA in accordance with 49 CFR 242 (or predecessor regulations).
2. The current engineer certification/qualification plan submitted to and approved by FRA in accordance with 49 CFR 240 (or predecessor regulations).
3. The current passenger train emergency preparedness plan (aka "E-plan" or "E-prep") submitted to and approved by the FRA in accordance with 49 CFR 239 for your passenger rail service.
Please release all segregable non-exempt portions of these records. The requested records will be freely available to the public on muckrock.com, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available, or CD-ROM if not. I am willing to pay applicable fees, however in the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request.

You had previously indicated that it would be completed on Jan. 27, 2020. I wanted to check on the status of my request, and to see if there was a new estimated completion date.

We have identified approximately 51 pages of responsive documents. If you want hard copies it would be $7.50 plus postage. If you prefer to have electronic version you will need to remit $5.00 for the thumb drive and .50 for postage. We will send the documents upon receipt of the payment.
