To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Pennsylvania Right to Know Act, I hereby request the following records:

Supporting documentation in the form of Harrisburg area arrests for sexual slavery and rape in Central Pennsylvania to prove the statement made by the media by the Harrisburg YWCA is accurately quantified:

The average age a child is forced into sex slavery is 12 years old. “The beatings, the torture, the repeated rapes day in and day out,” YWCA Harrisburg vice president Rhonda Hendrickson said. “Nine-thousand to 14,000 rapes are estimated to occur to one victim each and every year.”

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

M Dante

The request has been rejected by the agency.

Hi Rachel. The YWCA of Harrisburg stated in a recent article for ABC that each victim of sexual slavery and rape in Central endures 9,000-14,000 rapes per victim per year.

I am attempting to establish the actual numbers of arrests and convictions for rapes, forced slavery, prostitution, sexual slavery, pimping and human trafficking.

If your agency is not the correct place to make this request for the area defined as "Central Pennsylvania" - where should I place this data request?

From: M Dante

How please do I properly fact check the claim made by the YWCA Harrisburg in the Pennsylvania news. The editor spoke with me saying the reporters are responsible for fact checking. The reporter who defines herself as a passionate story teller of the news never got back to me. The YWCA never did. You rejected the request. Can anyone state any number of rapes in Central Pa as authentic and that just is what it is?
