From: Nick Ingalls

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Michigan's Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), I hereby request the following records:

A Shapefile or CSV containing at minimum the Address Points (house # and street name) and their corresponding Latitude/Longitude. If additional data such as the Unit Number, City, Zipcode, Parcel Id exists they should be included as well.

If this cannot be accessed, the parcel file including situs address would suffice.

Other names for this include: E911 Address Database, Civic Address File, Parcel Dataset, Land Ownership Dataset, Tax Parcels, Address Points.

I also intent to publish the data via the OpenAddresses Publication platform and would request a waiver of fees for the request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Nick Ingalls

Mr Ingalls,

I received this request today. I have a few questions and concerns about
this request.
First of all, what exactly is, and I quote, the "OpenAddresses
Publication platform? Please explain this to me, or provide me with some
documentation explaining this so-called "platform".
Our fee's are $150 for a CD-ROM, plus an additional $5 for shipping.
Also, once I hear from you, I will email you a data transmission
agreement for you to read, sign, and return to me, with payment, before
I send the CD to you.
Also, We _DO NOT_ utilize latitude/longitude*.

*I await your response.

Sincerely,

*Casey Guthrie, MAAO

From: Nick Ingalls

Hello Casey,

I've submitted the $150 fee.

OpenAddresses is a project to gather address data into a single standardized source. More information can be found here: https://openaddresses.io

Would it be possible to receive the file via email?

> Also, We _DO NOT_ utilize latitude/longitude*.

As long as you have spatial coordinates and their corresponding project that won't be a problem.

Cheers,
Nick

Mr. Ingalls,

A fax sent by your office was forwarded to me in regards to a mapping
request from November, 2017.

First and foremost, direct all mapping requests to me at
cguthrie@oscodacountymi.com. Please do not fax any requests.

Second, I am not denying your request. What I am stating is that the
$150 check was never received. I will not release any information until
payment is received.
