To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Beginning January 2009 to Present Staff Roster including but not limited to first and last names, job titles, areas of assignment, and badge, serial, and other identifying numbers. In order of preference, I would prefer that this data be provided as: OpenDocument spreadsheet, plain text with comma-separated-values (i.e., a "CSV" file), Excel spreadsheet, or the native electronic format of the software from which this information is retrieved in fulfillment of my request. I specifically request that you not create a new record for me by rendering to PDF or by printing your electronic record then scanning it to make a series of images of the printed data.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
September Baron

- All withholdings by masking or deletion (aka redactions) must be keyed by footnote or other clear reference to the specific justification for that redaction, and only the minimal exempt portion of any record may be withheld (SFAC 67.26).
- You must respond to emailed requests (SFAC 67.21(b)).
- You must state the name and title of each person responsible for withholding any information (Gov Code 6253(d)).
My request was for Staff Rosters from January 2009-Present.
Your agency must do all of the above things in your response, and you cannot wait until we file complaints.

- All withholdings by masking or deletion (aka redactions) must be keyed by footnote or other clear reference to the specific justification for that redaction, and only the minimal exempt portion of any record may be withheld (SFAC 67.26).

Hello Ms. Barron;
The response letter sent to you on October 21, 2021, addresses Government Code section 6255 for withholding the names of undercover officers. In response to your request for the name and title of the Orange County Sheriff's personnel responsible for withholding this information, that individual is Commander Mark Stichter of the Sheriff's Investigations Division.
