Pursuant to the Oklahoma Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

1)The 2017 directive ordering police department personnel to stop destroying rape kits (cited by Maj. Clifton here - https://kfor.com/2019/02/14/oklahoma-city-pd-responds-to-allegations-of-untested-lost-burned-and-buried-rape-kits/);
2) Copies of emails and attachments, and any other communications (digital or otherwise) related to creation and dissemination of above-mentioned 2017 directive.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Please be advised that your Open Records Act request dated February 15, 2019 to the OCPD (there is no ORA Office of the OCPD) has been referred to me for response. In this request, you request:

1) The 2017 directive ordering police department personnel to stop destroying rape its (cited by Maj. Clifton...)
2) Copies of emails and attachments and any other communications (digital or otherwise) related to creation and dissemination of above-mentioned 2017 directive.

Attached is the July 14, 2017 email from Major Denise Wenzel to City employees then assigned to the OCPD property room containing to the directive and to whom it was sent.
