I would like any and all e-mail communications sent to and received by the following addresses: ospintel@dps.ohio.gov and ospintel@dps.state.ohio.us during the time period of July 15-July 23rd, 2016.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Ms. Hill - I am writing in regards to the December 8, 2016, public records request you submitted to the Ohio Department of Public Safety for, "all e-mail communications sent to and received by the following addresses: ospintel@dps.ohio.gov<mailto:ospintel@dps.ohio.gov> and ospintel@dps.state.ohio.us<mailto:ospintel@dps.state.ohio.us> during the time period of July 15-July 23rd, 2016."
I have done an initial survey of the emails you have requested and have found hundreds that exist given your parameters. The large numbers of emails will take an extended amount of time to review for redaction. This process will prevent DPS from responding to your request within a short time frame. Given the dates you have provided, I am guessing you are actually interested in emails relating to the RNC. For this reason, I would like to suggest that DPS provide only the emails for July 15 - July 23 that pertain to the RNC. If the search is so limited, the number of searched emails is reduced significantly, thereby allowing DPS to provide you with the records much more quickly.
Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you agree to amending the original request as I have suggested. If you want to discuss the search parameters, please feel free to call me at the number provided below.
