Ms. Pierce,

Thank you for your response. If I were to amend the initial request to include only email communications from the SOS Legislative Services section that contain the domain @aipac.org in the "to" or " from" or "cc" or "bcc" fields would that request pass muster?

Thanks so much

From: Sarah Pierce

Mr. Neiss –

As I mentioned in my letter, our office does not organize email communications by sender or recipient, but by content. For example, emails that relate to a certain court case will be maintained in that case file.

It would be helpful if you could give me some more information about the content of the emails you are looking for. Are they related to a particular court case? Or a particular topic, or project of our office? Without some more information, your revised request asks for records from across our office, based only on sender and recipient status, which does not give us enough information to locate responsive records based on the manner in which they are kept.

Also, I’m not sure what you mean by SOS Legislative Services. Could you please clarify?

Thanks for your email!

Sarah
