To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Michigan's Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), I hereby request the following records:
• All requests made to the Sheriff or any of its representatives regarding potential engagement in outside employment. Please include any determinations made in response to these requests.
• All employees currently employed as a part-time deputy for the Department while employed full-time with another police or fire agency in a non-deputized position.
• All employees employed as "a Reserve Officer or Volunteer Fire Fighter while working part-time with the Sheriff's Office."
• All employees who "work part-time for other agencies as dispatchers and call-takers."
This request is being made as part of an ongoing investigation. The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
