To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:

Any and all electronic correspondence, dated between June 1 2013 and the date this request is fulfilled, between any employee of the Public Advocate of the City of New York, including Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, and any employee, reporter, or journalist of The New York Times. Request may be limited to individuals who contacted the office using an email address at the NYTIMES.COM domain.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

J.K. Trotter

From: RecordsAccess Appeal

Please be advised, that the correct email address to submit any Appeals
for records of the Office of the Public Advocate, is
recordsaccessappeals@pubadvocate.nyc.gov . This is the first your
appeal has been sent to our attention, as I believe you have been sending
it to a non-operating email account of a former employee of the prior
Public Advocate Administration.

Can you please provide the basis of your appeal, clarify your request, or
do you wish our Office to review our files again for any records that meet
your request, under the appropriate sections of the NYS Public Officers Law?

thank you,
