Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:
- The full, anonymized officer list that underlies the data set on police transparency which claims to be a list of "38,000 officers", as provided here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/ccrb/policy/data-transparency-initiative-mos.page#complaints.
This list should be provided in a machine-readable format and include information like an officer's age, race, sex, height, weight, home city, state, and country, rank, unit, and number and class of complaints. These variables can be rounded to reduce the likelihood of de-anonymization. For example, if an officer's weight were 223 pounds, you could report it as '200-250' or '200'.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
