From: Adam Wisnieski
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:
All written findings from the Deputy Mayor of Operations and the City Chief Procurement Officer to the Mayor and Speaker of the City Council in regards to city agencies failing to comply with the city's Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Program for Fiscal Year 2013.
These written findings exist because of Executive Order No. 242 from February 15, 2013. The order writes that the Deputy Mayor for Operations, City Chief Procurement Officer and Small Business Services' Commissioner will report to the Mayor and Speaker of the Council all findings if a city agency "fails to remedy its noncompliance" of the M/WBE program.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Adam Wisnieski
