Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

Copies of any and all correspondence to or from Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and to or from personnel in her office (including without limitation all email correspondence sent to or from any email address within the @manhattanbp.nyc.gov domain) referencing or pertaining to the 2017 NYC DOT redesign of Dyckman Street, including the Dyckman Street protected bike lane, dated from January 1, 2016 to the present day.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr. Aaron,

This will acknowledge receipt of your FOIL request.

Your request is exceptionally broad, and will require a search of the emails of all employees, past and present, of the Manhattan Borough President's Office over approximately three and a half years. We estimate that the search will require a minimum of 75 business days to complete. I will then review any correspondence responsive to your request and make redactions where appropriate.
When I have a page count for you, I'll let you know and upon receipt of a certified check or money order for the appropriate amount, I will gladly forward you the documents.
