Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:

All written correspondence--including emails, letters, faxes, text messages, iMessages, instant messages, gChats, etc.--between the office of City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and Vice News.

Records requested include correspondence between the speaker herself, or any representative of hers, and any representative, employed or contracted, of Vice News or of Vice Media LLC.

Records requested include attachments or enclosures to any responsive correspondence.

Records requested include correspondence dated from January 1, 2015 through the date when this request is processed.

Records requested include, but are not limited to, correspondence regarding her recent opinion piece in Vice New, linked here: https://news.vice.com/article/how-new-york-city-could-make-its-criminal-justice-system-more-fair

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is not being made for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
