FAO: Jonathan David, NYPD Legal Bureau

Dear Mr. David,

I am writing to appeal the NYPD's denial of my FOIL request #2016-PL-2866.

As you are aware, Section 89, subdivision 2(c)(i) of the NY Public Officers Law holds that public records deemed exempt from disclosure under Section 87, subdivision 2(b) "shall not be construed to constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy ... when identifying details are deleted".

Please, therefore, redact identifying details from the records I have requested and release them to me.

Thanks and best wishes,

Jon Swaine
