To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

This request is for the records associated with the publication of the article ultimately titled "While debate rages over glyphosate-based herbicides, farmers are spraying them all over the world" in The Conversation. Emails and documents with discussion among Marion Werner and/or co-authors Annie Shattuck and/or Ryan Galt about this project, as well as those with Jennifer Weeks and/or other staff at The Conversation about the project are sought. Specific additional keyword searches for the terms "glyphosate" and/or "roundup" and/or "breastmilk" and/or "breast milk" in this time frame are also requested in this search, as these may yield insights to the source of the misinformation in the original publication.

Emails from January 1 2021 through September 2021 are the specified range.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Mary Mangan

Thank you very much. These documents reveal that the writers made statements unsupported by the science, and hadn't even bothered to check on their claims before publishing. Very revealing.

I appreciate your work on this, Carrie.
