Such documents may include, but may not be limited to spreadsheets, databases, charts, tables, infographics, slide decks, reports, emails, and other records, electronic or otherwise.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Subject: Continued Delay in Fulfilling Freedom of Information Law Request: Public Records Request (North Colonie Central School District)
Dear Mr. Scott M. Hoot,
I am writing in response to your email dated May 17, 2023, where you have again extended the date to fulfill my Freedom of Information Law request to June 16, 2023.
As you may recall, my request was made on December 19, 2021. This request pertains to documents showing the daily number of quarantined students and staff at each school site, facility, and department, each day from September 1, 2020, through the date the request is completed. It is now well over 18 months since the original request, and there appears to be an ongoing lack of progress in fulfilling this request, despite repeated follow-ups.
The New York Freedom of Information Law requires that agencies respond to requests for access to records promptly and within a reasonable period. Given the extensive delays that have transpired thus far, this matter appears to breach the provisions of this legislation.
These records are of significant importance to the public and their understanding of how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected our schools and the educational system. I want to stress that the lack of timely access to these records undermines transparency, a key element of effective governance and the public's trust in our educational institutions.
I request that you treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. If there are any specific challenges or circumstances causing these delays, please inform me at your earliest convenience so that we can discuss possible solutions.
I trust that the North Colonie Central School District can respect the provisions of the New York Freedom of Information Law and expedite the fulfillment of this request.
