Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:
(a) any and all processing notes for DFS FOIL No. 2017-069673 ("Records on vacant and abandoned or so-called 'zombie' properties since December 20, 2016"), which may include remarks, comments, notes, explanations, etc. made by DFS about the processing of the aforesaid request and its appeal. This is to include any notes made during the processing of the request and its appeal, any standard worksheets completed, and any correspondence referencing the request, including tasking orders, emails, and coordination documentation. (b) any and all records that reflect or identify the "inadvertent technical reasons" that the redactions applied by DFS to the Complaint Log regarding vacant properties "were able to be manipulated," as DFS Public Affairs said in an Email on September 13, 2017. (c) any and all records that reflect how the "inadvertent technical reasons" referenced above have been addressed, including records that reflect any changes to the process or means by which records responsive to FOIL requests are redacted, reviewed, or released.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
If my request is too broad or does not adequately describe the records, please contact me so that I may clarify my request, and when appropriate inform me of the manner in which Records are filed, retrieved or generated.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
