Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

All records of pistol permits (and amendments thereto), firearms ownership or sale, and any records concerning weapons ownership as mandated under Article 400, Penal Law of NYS, for the following named individuals:

• Joseph K. Biggs, Jr., former security guard for Hastings-on-Hudson School District, year of birth 1961, first 5 digits of SSN 088-56
• Nicholas Tartaglione, former officer of the Briarcliff Manor Police Department, year of birth 1967, first 5 digits of SSN 082-66
• Gerard K. Benderoth, former police officer of the New York Police Department and the Haverstraw Police Department, year of birth 1969, first 5 digits of SSN 086-58

Please note, Mr. Benderoth is deceased (see attached obituary), while Mr. Biggs and Mr. Tartaglione are presently held in prison awaiting federal trial. The disclosure of this information is of public interest as the three named persons are all named as members of a drug ring involved in a quadruple homicide. Requested information is within the scope of the Subject Matter List published by the State Police pursuant to POL § 87.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
