To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

a list of digital advertisements shown on Outfront Media displays in MTA subway stations during the week of December 11 - December 18. More specifically, please provide:

1. Advertiser
2. Description of advertisement
3. Name of station where the advertisement was displayed
4. Times at which the advertisement was displayed
5. Image of the advertisement, if possible (I assume not possible for video ads)

If one full week of such data is too much, please provide one full day's worth (any day in December would work) of advertisements and associated data. If any of the above fields are not available, please provide any fields that are available.

If all of the requested records cannot be emailed to me, please inform me by email of the portions that can be emailed and advise me of the cost for reproducing the remainder of the records requested ($.025 per page or actual cost of reproduction).

If the requested records cannot be emailed to me due to the volume of records identified in response to my request, please advise me of the actual cost of copying all records onto a CD.

If my request is too broad or does not reasonably describe the records, please contact me via email so that I may clarify my request, and when appropriate inform me of the manner in which records are filed, retrieved or generated.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

subwayads

Hello,
Attached is NYC Transit's response to your FOIL request. Please provide your name in all future communications relating to this request.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Juliet Williams
Deputy FOIL Officer

From: Nick Jones

Dear Ms. Williams,

Thank you for your response to my FOIL request, number 23654. In order to expedite the process, I would be willing to limit the amount of data being requested. In the original request, I requested a list of advertisements displayed in the subway system specifically between December 11 and December 18. If it is easier, I would also accept just one full week-day's worth of the requested data, rather than a specific week in December. For example, if it is easier to just provide data from, say Wednesday January 16, that would suffice. To reiterate, the exact data being requested is a list of ads with the following information about each:

1. Advertiser
2. Description of advertisement
3. Name of station where the advertisement was displayed
4. Times at which the advertisement was displayed
5. Image of the advertisement, if possible (I assume not possible for video ads)

If only partial information is available, please provide as much as possible.

Thank you for your help,

Nick Jones
