NY State Trooper Public Employee List

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

A list/spreadsheet of every employee of the New York State Police by fiscal year, for as far back in time as such information is available. The requested information is as follows:

- Employee's full name
- Employee's job title (position)
- Government address of employee
- Date employee fist hired by agency
- Job title/position when employee first hired by agency
- Employee's salary

For the "Government address of employee" field, we request that this information be as specific as possible. For example, if a state trooper is stationed at a specific substation, please list the substation address in a given year rather than the address of police headquarters. However, if this information is not available, please list the agency headquarters.

If this request is unclear, please contact me to allow revisions rather than deny the request. Similarly, if the requested data are available only in part, please fulfill the portion of the request that is available rather than denying it in full. Similarly, if this employee roster is only available for current employees and not going back in time, please supply information on current employees.

In addition, if other information on employees is readily available in the agency's database (such as gender, date of birth, etc.) and is subject to the state Freedom of Information Law, please include that information as well.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
